A peaceful Spiritual Gathering and Rally was held on 22 April 2004 at the State Capital in Pierre SD to focus attention on racisim and dual standards of justice in the South Dakota goverment, courts, judicial offices, jails, prisons, law enforcement agencies and Indian Child Welfare agencies.

MCDONALD's BOYCOTT - 1 AUGUST 2003 More than 20 protestors converged on the McDonalds in Valentine, Nebraska on August 1 to express concern over racial incidents and food safety concerns.
MARTIN PROTEST AND BOYCOTT - 9 JULY 2003 Rapid City Journal: "...On Wednesday, marchers gathered here to protest what they say is a city council "end run" to circumvent voters' choice of an American Indian sheriff in Bennett County. They also announced a boycott of local businesses, hoping to pressure city officials to scrap plans to form a separate city police department after years of joint city/county law enforcement..."

ROSEBUD SPIRITUAL WALK AND PROTEST, 24 AUGUST 2002 The Sicangu Lakota grass roots Oyate, AIM and the Dakota, Lakota, Nakota Human Rights Coalition held a march and rally for justice during the Rosebud Fair last weekend. Around ten people held signs and others attended the rally throughout the day. Roy Stone said the invocation and prayed for the day as the rally started.
SISSETON MARCH AND RALLY, 17 AUGUST 2002 On 17 August 2002 there was a March and Rally at Sisseton concerning the Racial Profiling and Duel Standard of Justice against the Dakota Indian People who live on the Sisseton Indian reservation in North East South Dakota.

MEMORIAL DAY 2002 The SD Prisoner Support Group held a Memorial Walk for those who died in Prison, Jail, and in the Juvenile System on Memorial Day. We also walked in support of those who are still behind the walls.

Over 1,200 Lakota from South Dakota reservations, along with supporters from several states, converged on the town of Martin, SD, on Monday, February 18, 2002 to draw attention to the problems of racial profiling, racial targeting of Indian youth and other issues many say victimize Lakota who live and work in the town.
